I would call you and you would call me,&#8221; Trump says. &#8220;People don&#8217;t know, whenever we had a problem we worked it out very quickly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I say it to everybody, you&#8217;re a great leader,&#8221; with him on this trip. &#8220;Only the top people here today to pay respects to you,&#8221; he says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">This followed the president&#8217;s welcome in Beijing on Thursday, with an extravagant display and children waving flags as he exchanged handshakes with President Xi Jinping.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Trump offered Xi his trademark handshake, then proceeded to greet many of China&#8217;s senior officials, while Xi reciprocated with numerous top American officials, including Trump&#8217;s own family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">While First Lady Melania Trump was conspicuously absent, Trump was accompanied by a large delegation, including his son Eric Trump, daughter-in-law Lara Trump, and frenemy Elon Musk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">This comes as the Chinese public bestowed upon Trump a brutal nickname as he arrived in Beijing with Musk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Just prior to the meeting, an interview with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, conducted by Fox News&#8217;
