If the players still cannot be split, No 18 will be played for a second time in sudden death \u2013 and repeated until a result is reached.<\/p>\n<p>There have been five PGA Championship playoffs using the current three-hole aggregate playoff:<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-kk992l-0 sc-1k7glnk-1 dDVXDN irZnNR\">\n<ul>\n<li>2000: Tiger Woods def. Jason Dufner <\/li>\n<li>2022: Justin Thomas def. Will Zalatoris <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>There were also eight prior play-offs held over either an extra 18 holes or settled in sudden death:<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-kk992l-0 sc-1k7glnk-1 dDVXDN irZnNR\">\n<ul>\n<li>1961: Jerry Barber def.
