The plane was heading to Dallas from Australia but had to make a stop in Tahiti.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The alleged incident happened aboard the flight number QF21. The plane left Melbourne for the US on an<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.co.uk\/news\/latest-news\/virgin-atlantic-flight-makes-emergency-37047015\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\"> 18-hour journey<\/a> before chaos ensued around three quarters of the way into the flight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Both crew members and passengers are said to have stepped in to help the flight attendant following the alleged attack which happened <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.co.uk\/health\/jet2s-35-week-warning-passengers-37165654\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">while the plane was airborne.<\/a> Footage of the passenger, which was uploaded to social media by comedian Mike Goldstein, shows the man stumbling out of the toilet still doing his belt up.<\/p>\n<div data-testid=\"image-group\"><button type=\"button\" at staff and passengers. \u201cWe need you to behave yourself,\u201d the Qantas worker says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cBro, I was just about to walk out for a cigarette,\u201d the passenger can be heard saying. \u201cPut that wrist lock off (sic) me again, there\u2019s aircraft was redirected to Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia, where local police boarded the plane and escorted the passenger off.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The Tahitian police are seen coming on board, and the camera turns down the aisle, showing the man face down on the floor being restrained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">He was arrested and kept in the country to face charges there.
