This would be paid by the four key members of the eight-person gang, including leader Aomar A\u00eft Khedache, who is now 70.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Following a high-profile trial last year, all were told they would not spend another day in prison. I forgive you for what has taken place, but it doesn\u2019t change the emotion and the feelings and the trauma the way my life is forever changed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Trial judge David De Pas admitted \u2018the sentences were fairly lenient,\u2019 but none of the accused was likely to reoffend. The vast majority of defendants were imprisoned in January 2017, three months after the robbery. But then they were released on bail, meaning they were all free when the trial started in April 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">During the civil damages hearing in Paris on Monday, Ms Kardashian\u2019s stylist, Simone Bretter \u2013 who was in the hotel suite when it was raided \u2013 also asked for a single euro in damages. In turn, Abderrahmane Ouatiki \u2013 the hotel receptionist on the night of the raid who also had a gun put to his head \u2013 asked for \u20ac550,000 in damages \u2013 the equivalent of around \u00a3470,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Lawyers for Mr Ouatiki, an Algerian national, said he had \u2018been living with post-traumatic stress disorder,\u2019 and unable to complete his PhD studies at university. The H\u00f4tel de Pourtal\u00e8s, where the robbery took place, is claiming the equivalent of \u00a386,000 in damages for \u2018reputational harm\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Ms Kardashian, star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, qualified as an attorney last year, following six years of study. She said she wanted to \u2018fight for justice\u2019, including for defendants in criminal trials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Her late father, Robert Kardashian Junior, famously defended actor O.J.Simpson at his trial for murder in 1995.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The decision regarding civil damages will be handed down by judges on September 15.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Have you joined Threads?
