Nigel Farage will trigger the ‘break-up’ of Britain, claims Putin’s chief propagandist

TV host Vladimir Solovyov used his nightly current affairs programme to tell Russians that were Nigel Farage to become Prime Minister it would speed up the collapse of the United Kingdom

Vladimir Putin’s leading propagandist has taken to the airwaves to gleefully tell Russians that if Nigel Farage were to become Prime Minister, it would speed up the collapse of the United Kingdom.

State TV host Vladimir Solovyov used his nightly current affairs programme to mock Britain’s political future, while celebrating what he sees as a growing separatist movement within the UK. Solovyov told his nightly TV show: “To finally see a free Scotland, a free Wales. I think that would be very good. That would be very right.”

Prominent Kremlin-loyal political scientist Malek Dudakov agreed with the sentiment, adding: “If Nigel Farage and the Reform Party win in Britain, it will be, of course, both funny and scary.”

He claimed they would “spend all the remaining British budgets and money on some crypto startups”.

Solovyov told him: “I think that’s a wonderful idea. I’m all for it.”

The conversation formed part of a wider discussion on Russian state television about what they see as political instability in Western countries and a steady decline of Britain’s global influence.

He told Dudakov that “you’ll die laughing” if Scotland and Wales break away.

It would mean Russia would have no reason to obliterate the UK with a Poseidon underwater nuclear drone, as he regularly threatens due to Britain’s support for Ukraine in the war.

“We’ll save Poseidon,” said Solovyov.

Russian state media figures have repeatedly targeted Britain over its military and financial backing for Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began in 2022, with Solovyov among the most outspoken voices threatening escalation against Western nations supporting Kyiv.

This latest assessment is not the first time Solovyov has made headlines over his outlandish claims on Russian TV.

Earlier this month, Solovyov claimed a high-ranking Russian commander told him there is now “no border between Ukraine and Western Europe”.

He was raging over alleged attempts to disrupt Russia‘s Victory Day celebrations with attacks within the country.

The Kremlin ally stated the unnamed military figure warned Russia was effectively battling the entirety of Europe, including the UK – not just Ukraine.
