Rockstar Releases New Screenshots From the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Gallery

Rockstar Games opened its Launch Gallery on November 5 with a batch of fresh in-game screenshots, marking the final visual push before Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. The images center on protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as they move through robberies, quiet moments, and the crowded streets of Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.

Jason and Lucia appear in numerous frames together. One image shows the couple knocking over a Fleeca bank branch, both wearing bandanas, carrying duffel bags, and armed with smgs. Another shows the two parked on the hood of a pickup truck dangling over a grassy hill, with the Vice City skyline at dusk in the backdrop. Deer graze below, and birds take to the air as the sun sets. You can also imagine them dancing in the Rusty Anchor bar, where locals are raising glasses in the foreground and they’re having a great time on the busy dance floor.

Lucia receives a lot of attention during her solo performances. These are set against some rather tense metropolitan settings, and other photos show her near the window of a building where rain is falling in sheets, or standing with a police car and officer hard on her tail. Then there are the ones where Jason is on his own, with him fighting armed characters such as a big person with a tattoo and a gang of bikers, as well as one photo of him doing a bench press without a shirt. He also has a nice pose with a customized assault rifle beside a plane with its ramp open, a dog wearing goggles nearby, and it appears that he is ready to fire at any moment. In another, he’s refueling a car at night, and two officers emerge with rifles drawn, while the helicopter overhead shines its searchlight around.

A large portion of the remaining frames just depict Vice City in all of its magnificence, crammed to the brim with various non-player characters. Nightclubs are extremely packed under a stunning assortment of disco balls and hanging plants, while dancers juggle it on poles in front of neon signs like the one at Delights Cabaret. You can also see a close-up of a local with face tattoos, bright colored locs, a camo bucket hat on his head, and a highly striking ring shaped like a dolphin. There is also speculation that a rapper named Kodak Black may make an appearance. Other shots show a party interior, boats floating around in a harbor, and a large view of cops encircling a yacht with speedboats, cars, and a helicopter on standby.

Locations beyond the city receive dedicated shots. Grassriver scenes include a man sitting by a campfire with a dead snake slung over his shoulder and a dead alligator propped up on a neighboring seat. Then there’s a night airboat trip through the mangroves, with a passenger carrying a gun and a gator’s eye shining in the water. The Keys and Port Gellhorn areas are also covered, and one underwater shot shows a diver shining a torch on a lionfish in the seagrass.

Digital pre-loading begins on November 10, requiring up to 212 gigabytes of storage depending on the console. Code-in-box physical versions become available from retailers starting November 12. Review copies have already reached media outlets. In Miami, Rockstar has covered the city with billboards and transformed the Heat arena and local nightclubs with Vice City branding ahead of a November 18 game that will feature themed jerseys and a special court. The Launch Gallery images reinforce the scale of the world players will enter once the game unlocks at midnight local time on November 19.
