Bloke arrested for ‘drink-driving’ bright pink child’s Barbie Jeep down main road

A bloke who drove a child-size pink Barbie Jeep down a busy road in Canada was arrested by traffic cops after allegedly being found to be over the legal alcohol limit

Ken you believe it? A bloke was arrested after allegedly being stopped by traffic cops while driving a child-sized pink Barbie Jeep down a busy road during rush hour while drunk.

Kasper Lincoln reportedly nicked the surprising vehicle in order to go buy an iced smoothie, stealing it from the daughter of his roommate as he couldn’t be bothered to walk down Fifteenth Avenue in British Columbia, Canada.

Lincoln’s stunt unsurprisingly grabbed the attention of passing pedestrians and drivers, many of whom stopped to take pics. However, the police did not see the funny side, breathalysing the bloke before arresting him.

Police say officers stopped the Barbie-themed car near Nicholson Street and allegedly found that the driver had already been banned from driving.

He was also given breath tests, which police say showed readings above the legal alcohol limit. As a result, officers issued a 90-day driving prohibition and served him with a court appearance notice.

Under Canadian law, police say any vehicle powered by something other than “muscular power” can be considered a motor vehicle and requires both insurance and a licensed driver when used on a public road.

The 40-year-old later told CBS he had planned to walk to get a Slurpee with a pal, but that he had “got lazy” and decided to take the Barbie car instead.

He said he had never driven it before and believed he was doing nothing wrong. British Columbia Mounted Police released a statement condemning the trip.

A spokesperson said: “On Friday, September 5, 2025, a day already busy with full-scale building fires and motor vehicle incidents involving ambulances, police officers in Prince George also came across a man driving a toy car down Fifteenth Avenue near Nicholson Street.

“During the investigation, the police officer formed grounds to believe the driver was impaired and found the driver had a suspended license.

“The driver was arrested for prohibited driving, and an impaired driving investigation ensued. He provided two breath samples that were both over the legal limit and was subsequently issued a 90-day driving prohibition.”

The spokesperson explained that the vehicle itself broke traffic rules, saying: “Any vehicle on a roadway that is powered by anything other than muscular power fits into the definition of a motor vehicle and requires a licenced driver and insurance.

“While it might seem to some to be an inefficient use of police time to pull over a driver in a toy car, the risk the driver was creating to other motorists on the road who were forced to go around him, coupled with the risk to himself as other drivers are not in the habit of looking for toy cars on the busy road, was enough to warrant police attention.”

Lincoln was served with an Appearance Notice with a court date in December, and the file remains under investigation.
