London Diamond League schedule, start times and line-up including Josh Kerr’s mile world record attempt
The Diamond League returns to London this weekend with an all-star field headlined by home favourites Josh Kerr, Keely Hodgkinson and Dina Asher-Smith.
Former world 1500m champion and two-time Olympic medallist Kerr is targeting the world record of 3:43.13 in the mile, which has stood since 1999, while Hodgkinson is still aiming for her first win over 800m of the season after a difficult few weeks including falls in training and a withdrawal from the 400m final at British national championships last month.
World silver medallist Georgia Hunter-Bell has had to withdraw due to illness but the 800m field remains stacked, with Femke Broeders-Bol in action – progressing from her usual 400m hurdles – alongside Olympic silver medallist Tsige Duguma.
Olympic 100m champion Julien Alfred and 200m champion Gabby Thomas face off in the longer event with Britain’s Asher-Smith and Amy Hunt, with plenty of other stars including Oblique Seville, Yaroslava Mahuchikh and Mondo Duplantis all in action on a stacked day in the capital.
