Bose earphones with ‘one best feature’ drop £50 and ‘top Apple AirPods’

‘I have the Apple AirPods but these top these by far’

Shoppers can nab a pair of high-quality earbuds from Amazon that have ‘sensational’ noise cancelling capabilities, with one review saying they ‘top Apple AirPods’. Now, the Bose QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds have £50 off in a limited time deal.

The Bose earbuds retail for £179.95 at full price on Amazon, but now, they’re available for £129.95. This is for the black option – the pink, dark blue and white colourways are similarly discounted, but the light blue set is currently full price.

These Bluetooth wireless earbuds are known for their noise-cancelling capabilities, giving customers a ‘satisfyingly rich listening experience’ with ‘remarkable sound quality’, according to the listing. They are said to have up to eight-and-a-half hours of listening time, with a 20-minute charge in the case giving an extra two hours of playback.

To really help customers get a snug, comfortable fit, there are three eartips and stability band sizes to choose from. They can be operated by customisable tap control buttons – so shoppers don’t have to dig out their phone if they want to pause, play, skip songs or more. The earbuds can be connected to a useful Bose app, and can also link to multiple devices at once.

For a slightly more premium experience, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Earbuds (2nd Gen) cost £229.95 from Amazon, reduced from £299.95 in a limited-time deal. This model includes exclusive new characteristics, such as an immersive audio feature called Cinema Mode.

This feature really stood out for Commerce Content Editor Harriet Morphy-Morris, who wrote in her review of the earbuds for OK!: “Essentially, amidst a bustling gym setting, it transforms the audio into an all-encompassing experience rather than simply playing in your ears, a level of refinement absent from my ageing Soundsport pair or competing alternatives.” However, she did have some small gripes with the touch control responsiveness and out-of-ear detection timing.

The earbuds promise impressive noise cancelling and a rich listening experience.

For something a bit more wallet-friendly, Argos has the Sony WF-C510 True Wireless Earbuds for £39.99. With a 22-hour battery life, these are described as Sony’s ‘smallest and lightest earbuds yet’.

Reviewers have raved about the first-generation Bose QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds, awarding it 4 stars from over 7,800 reviews. One shopper said: “They sound better and the noise cancelling is at least as good as the QC 2. The Bose ANC is the best I’ve used so far (though I haven’t yet tried Sony earbuds). It’s fun to put some loud aircraft cabin white noise on the stereo and feel the background noise, but be able to comfortably listen to music.”

Another added: “Fantastic Bose headphones. They’re even better than I thought they would be but then all Bose products are amazing. They fit the ear really comfortably, and the noise cancelling is sensational. I have the Apple AirPods, but these top these by far.”

While a third said as part of a longer review: “These Bose headphones are brilliant. The sound is crisp, the bass is smooth without being overwhelming, and the noise-cancelling is genuinely impressive — it blocks out background noise better than most.

“They’re lightweight, comfy to wear for hours, and the battery lasts ages.” However, some shoppers shared some critiques, like one who said as part of a longer review: “A little more fiddly than other earbuds, but once set up and with the right ear tip cover and tips, they are incredibly good.

“They don’t fall out at all, and the music, not as loud as I would prefer, is good quality. The ANC works well, but certainly not 100%.” Another said: “These sound great, I wish they were a little louder as I like my music absolutely blasting, but they are still loud enough.”
