Western labs are creating ‘biowarfare viruses to kill us all,’ claims Putin mouthpiece
A top Putin mouthpiece has claimed that the West is creating ‘biowarfare viruses’ in labs to ‘destroy us all’ as Russia’s inner circle prepares for a 20-year conflict and calls nuclear weapons a ‘good’ scenario
Vladimir Putin’s cronies are warning of a conflict spanning 20 years where his deployment of nuclear weapons represents a “good” outcome. This terrifying glimpse of what lies ahead emerged at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum [SPIEF] – dubbed the “Russian Davos” – which was struck a day earlier by Ukrainian drone attacks on the city’s oil terminal and naval facility.
Leading Putin spokesmen exploited the forum to outline an apocalyptic endless war scenario driven by Russian fears over Western colonisation.
Oligarch and Putin propagandist Konstantin Malofeev – a prominent pro-Kremlin media proprietor – declared to the forum: “The use of nuclear weapons, we don’t consider a worst-case scenario. We consider it a good one.”
Professor Andrey Bezrukov, a former Russian SVR intelligence colonel and undercover operative in the US, emphasised: “We must recognise that for the next few years, maybe a couple of decades, we will be at war. It could be a very intense war, like we are now.
“It could be a creeping war. Even if it spreads to other regions, we’ll have two generations that can be considered practically at war. And we need to learn to live with this war.”
Now a lecturer at Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the veteran spy claimed Russia needed to counter Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet system which – supposedly – was enabling Ukraine to launch strikes deep into its territories. “We weren’t prepared for it,” said Bezrukov, exposed as a Russian operative in the US in 2010 alongside glamour spy Anna Chapman, and sent home in an exchange agreement.
Weaving conspiracy theories throughout his remarks, he cautioned that the West is targeting Russia with ” biowarfare” laboratories developing viruses “that will basically destroy us all”.
The war hysteria was amplified by Viktor Khrenin, defence minister of authoritarian Belarus, who warned of the “extremely high” likelihood of the Ukraine conflict escalating into a worldwide confrontation.
He alleged NATO was amassing forces near Russian and Belarusian frontiers and declared his nation would battle alongside Moscow in any hostilities.
Malofeev cautioned that in a “worst-case scenario” Russia faced defeat in the conflict against Ukraine by 2036 “and a confrontation with the West”.
This might result in Russia being “colonised” by 2050, he claimed. The answer was to go nuclear, he argued.
